Kikuho Land, our in-house nursery receives a visit from Santa this year. Of course, Santa is really our man from England playing the part of Santa again this year! Although Santa looks real enough and promised only to say “Ho.Ho,Ho”,(a wry smile) in fluent Japanese he asks, “Who is this present for”?

For the first time this year, a lunch party for both parents and children was held. On the menu was homemade nursery stew with Santa-style tomatoes, meatballs and sweet potatoes grown locally in the Kikuho Land garden by the side of Toyoura Office.

This year, the child who cried last year had a big smile. It’s great to feel the children growing.
