JRCS’ Lead UX/UI Architect Dr. Renée Schulz presents on panel at Autonomous Ship Expo
On June 22nd, 2023, our lead UX/UI Architect Dr. Renée Schulz presented at a panel at Autonomous Ship Expo in Amsterdam. As the name of the event suggests, the exposition attracted various companies and occupations, from cyber-security and sensor technology experts to automation-software providers for remote control systems among many others. Over the course of three days, academic institutions and industries related to maritime and shipping gathered for discussions and innovative conversations for furthering and strengthening the future of autonomous shipping.
Dr. Schulz of JRCS was among one of these professionals, bringing her expertise of UX/UI (user experience/ user interface) to the maritime industry for future autonomous projects. Not only did she present about the future of UX/UI for autonomous shipping, but she also focused on what autonomous shipping means for those in the industry. She addressed the varying levels of digital transformation, and how we can accommodate diverse degrees of autonomy throughout the different stages of transition.
