JRCS Participated in “Shimonoseki Future Creation Job Fair”

JRCS exhibited a booth at the annual “Shimonoseki Future Creation Job Fair,” a career experience event for junior and senior high school students.

Organized by the Shimonoseki City, the event welcomed approximately 50 local companies and organizations. Through a variety of interactive exhibits and hands-on activities at Kaikyo Messe Shimonoseki, students had the opportunity to explore the appeal of local industries and careers in Shimonoseki.

At the JRCS booth, students participated in a wiring challenge using a hands-on kit modeled after one of the manufacturing processes used in JRCS products. Competing on speed and accuracy, they experienced firsthand the skills involved in manufacturing.
This activity has become a popular feature of the event each year, helping students discover the fun and satisfaction of manufacturing.

Comments from participants included, “I learned about ship equipment for the first time,” showing that the experience helped make both the maritime industry and JRCS feel more familiar and accessible to them.

This year, students also experienced infoceanus assist, JRCS’s remote support application for vessel maintenance. Through an MR-based demonstration, they learned how onboard and onshore teams work together to troubleshoot issues using digital technology.

We hope these experiences helped students discover the excitement of maritime technology and sparked a deeper interest in the industry.
