JRCS Participated in the IDC Future Enterprise Awards 2023 Ceremony as Japan Winnter To the Final Judging of the Asia-Pacific Regional Competition
On 18 October 2023, JRCS Co.Ltd. (Head office: Yamaguchi, Japan) participated in the IDC Future Enterprise Awards 2023 ceremony organized by an International Data Corporation of Japan (IDC Japan Inc.)” as Japan Winner and received the “Special Award for Digital Innovation”.
The awards are global awards that recognize companies that are implementing outstanding initiatives in the recent digital business era. 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region participated in the awards, with this being the first year for Japan. The Special Award for Digital Innovation, which JRCS received, is presented to companies that have achieved innovative changes in their business through the use of software and digital technology. The award recognizes the significant impact our DX (Digital Transformation) initiatives in the marine industry are having through innovation.
As the winner in Japan, JRCS will advance to the final round of the Asia-Pacific region, with the aim of winning the award at the IDC Future Enterprise Summit & Awards 2023, which will be held in Singapore on 31 October 2023.

At the award ceremony, Atsushi Sora, Chief Executive Officer at JRCS, said, “Ships, which carry more than 95% of the world’s logistics, are unable to receive adequate support due to the restricted communication environment once they set sail. Our development approach is based on solving the problems of users, and we have made it possible to provide services to support seafarers on board ships and supervisors managing ships from shore, utilizing computer vision and edge appliance technology. By combining our over 70 years of onboard plant and hardware know-how with digital technology, we are fulfilling the mission to support maritime transportation and bring smiles to everyone in the world.

This is the seventh annual global award for companies in the Asia Pacific region, and the first in Japan. IDC analyst teams in each region evaluate the winning companies against a standard evaluation framework based on the IDC Future Enterprise classification.
After the IDC Future Enterprise Awards winners in Japan was honored at the IDC CIO Summit 2023 Autumn, Japan on 18 October 2023, a final selection will be made to determine the winning company in the Asia-Pacific region.
