Sponsored a seminar by clinical psychologist “Nobuko Takeda” on the topic of “Educational Abuse of Children”
JRCS will sponsor a seminar about educational abuse of children to be organized by the volunteer group “Childline Shimonoseki” on 16 June 2024.
Childline is a toll-free telephone advice service for children up to the age of 18. Around 2,000 volunteers in Japan answer the calls.
JRCS has been supporting the activities of the Shimonoseki branch of Childline since 2023, as the philosophy of Childline, “listening to children’s voices”, is precisely what JRCS values as part of its corporate culture.
This seminar is a training course held throughout the year to train call takers, and the first course for 2024 on 16 June will feature a lecture by clinical psychologist Nobuko Takeda on the theme of educational abuse, which is a major social issue. This will be a valuable opportunity to learn what is needed now to prevent abuse from Ms. Takeda, who has been advocating the concept of educational abuse at academic conferences for more than 10 years.
Kikuho from JRCS will also participate on the day as a “listening’ evangelist”. Members of the media are kindly invited to interview the event.
