JACOM-55 is a fully distributed power management system for generators. A large 5-inch LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is used as standard for improved visibility and operability.
The generator control and engine protection functions are handled separately by two independent CPUs. The communication lines between each unit are redundant as standard, to further enhance system reliability. In addition, a connection to the vessel’s master clock allows synchronized display of the ship's time and event logs.
JACOM-55 has been developed as the successor to JACOM-22, the world's first fully distributed power management system, which has been delivered to 1,000 vessels in the 16 years since its introduction. It retains and improves on the basic features and performance of the JACOM-22, while offering improved visibility, ease of use, durability and lower running costs.
